A week ago, Kelly and I arrived in Dar es Salaam! It is a lot bigger, a lot hotter, and a lot more expensive than Moshi. We are still trying to figure out our way around and learn all the fun places to check out. Luckily, we met a girl from Belgium and 2 girls from Norway that are also working at CCBRT. The 2 Norwegian girls are also here for their PT clinical internships so we spend our days with them as well. It has been fun meeting other people who can show us the ropes and take us around the city.

CCBRT - Dar is also a lot bigger than the clinic in Moshi. The Dar location is actually a hospital and outpatient clinic. They have a private section for privately paying patients and a public section for everyone else. The private clinics are what fund the other clinics. CCBRT Dar offers an eye clinic, outpatient ortho, club foot clinic, fistula clinic, surgeries, inpatient rooms, PT and OT, and lots more. There have already been so many more patients to see daily with varying diagnoses (brachial plexus injury, Post injection paralysis, CP, spina bifida, arthrogryposis, microcephalus, club foot, burns etc). There has been no adjustment period as Kelly and I have been thrown right in to seeing patients.

| Club foot clinic - earlier this week we casted approx 10 patients with club foot. |

We are staying at CEFA, a hostel run by an Italian non-profit. Kelly and I share a room and bathroom and they offer very tasty dinners for a reasonable price. Since it is run by an Italian family a lot of the meals are just that, Italian. So far we are enjoying our time at CEFA with other volunteers and students.

| Our room - we considered playing musical beds since there are 4 beds for 2 of us. |
We are also looking forward to the weekends where we can check out the town and surrounding Islands. This weekend we are venturing to Zanzibar for some relaxation on the beach and tourist activities!

Mwenge market - I described it as TJMaxx on steroids. But that does not even give it justice. |
